A Quality Roof Needs Proper Venting
We inspect all venting aspects to ensure the best roof performance possible. Proper soffit and fascia installation helps ensure the longevity and performance of your roof.
Fascia
Fascia is the vertical face of the edge of the roof. It is covered in aluminum and should always match the eaves trough colour.
It is not required to remove the eaves trough to change the fascia metal colour however if the fascia wood is rotten, eaves trough and fascia metal must be removed to ensure all rotten wood is found before new wood is installed and re-secured.
We install fascia from new construction projects to restoration/maintenance.
Soffit
Soffit is the horizontal overhang between the exterior wall and the eaves trough underneath the roof. It can come in perforated (can vent) and non-perforated (does not vent).
Soffit is usually segregated into a mixed solid and perforated pattern. The perforated section will line up with the moore venting to allow cold air intake and proper attic air circulation. With moore vents, attic insulation, and perforated soffit done correctly you can add to the longevity of your roof and overall home investment.
